What Is a Lien Search?

A Movable Property Lien Search (also called a Personal Property Lien Search) is an investigation into whether any financial claims or encumbrances have been registered against personal, movable property. This includes, but is not limited to:

• 🚗 Motor vehicles (cars, trucks, motorcycles, RVs, ATVs)
• 🛥️ Boats and watercraft
• 🚜 Farm equipment and machinery
• 🏗️ Construction equipment
• 🪑 Household goods or other pledged personal property
• 💼 Business assets and inventory

What Our Search Includes

For vehicles or other property, we require the VIN Number or serial number.  We can also search by debtor individual name or business.  

For other movable property, we require the following: 

• Debtor's Full Name
• Debtor's date of birth (recommended for individuals)
• Debtor's business name if conducting on a business. 
• Serial Number

Note:  We recommend also conducting a separate search on property by serial number to determine if it is listed as stolen.     We can do this search for you as part of a separate search and cost.   We would require the serial number.
